BestOf2016: TOP 7 IDEAL Bahus on Television!

Any family is not complete without a Bahu, especially not in television shows. Bahus are needed by the husband to romance, by the saas to boss around and by the chachis and mamis to taunt. But being the ‘Ideal Bahus’ that they are, these Bahus have set examples worth remembering.

In our BestOf2016′ features marathon, today we list down a few ideal bahus that we saw carve a niche for themselves this year.

Sonakshi in Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi: After marriage, Sonakshi (Erica Fernandes) pretty much had a fair idea of Ishwari (Supriya Pilgaonkar) having issues with her. But like an ideal bahu, only to be by her love Dev’s (Shaheer Sheikh) side, she bears with Ishwari and Radha Rani’s constant taunts about her being a Bangalan’ bahu.

Anika in Ishqbaaaz: Anika’s (Surbhi Chandna) shaadi with Shivaay (Nakuul Mehta) was a very unconventional one where Shivaay blackmailed Anika into marrying him. Except for Dadi, none of the other Oberoi family members including Shivaay, welcomed Anika. And just for the sake of Dadi, Anika bore all the torture and insult that Shivaay traded to her on a daily basis.

Naina in Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil: Naina (Drashti Dhami) was cheated upon and married off to the wrong groom Raghav (Arjun Bijlani), whereas she was supposed to marry Veer (Laksh Lalwani), who ran away from his own wedding. In spite of being cheated in the worst possible manner on the biggest day of her life, Naina graciously accepted Raghav as her husband, keeping in mind the importance of marriage.

Vividha in Jaana Na Dil Se Door: Vividha (Shivani Surve) got married to Ravish (Shashank Vyas) under extremely tragic circumstances, as her father threatens to kill her lover Atharv (Vikram Singh Chauhan) if she doesn’t do otherwise. Even though Vividha married another guy, she did not fail to fulfill her duties and live up to the expectations of her saas.

Tanuja in Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki: Tanuja (Kratika Sengar), who is the reincarnation of Rishi’s (Ssharad Malhotra) love Tanu (Kratika Sengar), gets married to him on Rishi’s father’s insistence and then starts the intense love-hate relationship between the duo. Even with Rishi’s mother Rano (Vibha Chibber) and prospective bride Mallika (Smriti Khanna), constantly bothering the hell out of Tanuja, she has managed to successfully become the ideal bahu in front of her sasur Raaj.

Saanchi in Ek Rishta Saajhedari Ka: Aryan (Kinshuk Vaidya) and Sanchi’s (Shivya Pathania) perfect arranged marriage hits a major roadblock when Aryan’s family becomes bankrupt. But Saanchi’s family helps them out and this does not go down well with one of Sanchi’s family’s elders. He calls out Aryan’s family regarding the same on the day of the wedding, which creates a huge rift between the families and even Aryan and Sanchi. Irrespective of the huge differences, Sanchi dutifully fulfills all her duties as the ideal bahu.

Rajni in Bahu Hamari Rajni_kant: She is one hatke bahu. A robot by her true nature, Rajni (Ridhima Pandit) has at every step, kept the family together, all thanks to her creator and husband Shaan (before Karan V Grover/ after Raqesh Bapat), who has installed human qualities in her. This bahu with a difference and a heart sure makes it to our list of ideal daughters-in-law.
