Kapil Sharma’s Family Time With Kapil will not just be a comedy show – here’s why

While we all are excited to see Kapil Sharma return to the tube after a brief a sabbatical, looks like Kapil’s return will not just bring laughter in abundance but also bundles of prizes. Yes, as per latest reports in Mumbai Mirror, Kapil’s new show will not just be a comedy one but also a game show. As per reports, the show will go on air in mid-March and will replace Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s Super Dancer Chapter 2.

Last year, Kapil’s show had to abruptly go off-air after various things in the comedian turned actor’s personal life went haywire. And now Kapil is returning with a bang and not just tickle our funny bones but also to keep us on the edge of our seats. As per reports, Kiku Sharda will also be seen on the show and will be donning the woman avatar once again while Chandan Prabhakar will be seen hosting the game segment on the show. As per what a source close to the development told Mirror, Kapil will start with a stand-up comedy act, followed by a segment where he will invite families to play games with him. “The winning families will get to take home household items as well as cars. Kiku Sharda who was part of the earlier show will return in a woman’s avatar. Chandan Prabhakar comes back as Kapil’s aide to host the game segment. Contrary to rumours, Ali Asgar isn’t on board yet.”

While on his comeback Kapil had earlier told Mirror that, “I have a wonderful relationship with the Sony team. Another channel would have put insane pressure on me to carry on, but the Sony bosses never issued any threats. I could not afford to cancel another episode so I called them and requested that I wanted to take a break. They readily agreed. They have been really supportive. I have no plans of leaving Sony.”

Adding further the source also said that, the channel is planning an innovative strategy to announce Kapil’s comeback with a big event. After several talks with the channel since January, Kapil finally got a greenlit for his new show. And now adding this game twist is a cherry on the cake and we are excited. But now we wait to see, if this idea will succeed for Salman will also be soon coming up with a game based reality show 10 Ka Dum season 3.
