While the date for the premiere of the show is yet to be announced, Kapil Sharma has shared it will be called Family Time with Kapil Sharma.

Days after treating fans with a teaser of his comeback show, TV star Kapil Sharma has unveiled the title of the show that is set to be aired on Sony Entertainment Television. The exact date for the show’s premiere is yet to be announced but an Indian Express report suggested it could arrive by March end.

Sharing the name of his show on Instagram, Kapil wrote, “need ur best wishes 🙂 coming soon.”

Confirming that Sunil Grover won’t be part of the show, the Indian Express report claimed Kiku Sharda and Chandan Prabhakar will be seen on Family Time. The report further claimed that the show might involved some interactive games for the audience, on the lines of The Hollywood Squares. “Sony TV and Kapil recently had a meeting and discussed on the comeback of the show. With Kapil now fit and fine, he is raring to go, and entertain his audience in his own inimitable style. The show is expected to launch by end of March,” it quoted a source as saying.

An official spokesperson from the channel had said in August 2017, that since Kapil had been under the weather, they had “mutually agreed to take a short break,” and that they would start shooting again once he recovers completely. The announcement came after months of rumours that Kapil’s alcoholism was taking a toll on his career. It was said that he cancelled shoots with many Bollywood actors.

Kapil also had his second Bollywood release Firangi in November and he wanted to spend time on the promotions. The film failed at the box office.

Nonetheless, Kapil, who has started shooting for the comeback of his TV show, is optimistic. “I feel very nice that people love me so much. I wanted to come on TV, and not even dreamt of being in films. Now, I have done both…I feel very nice and hope this love keep pouring and I keep on doing the good work,” he told IANS.
