Sumeet Vyas approached to host Indian Idol

Sony TV’s one of the popular reality show Indian Idol is back with its 10th season, and the makers are planning to rope in a popular face to host the show.
According to our source, “Sumeet Vyas has been zeroed in as he’s extremely popular, especially in the digital sphere. The channel wanted a different yet well known face and Sumeet fit the bill perfectly.” For those who may not know, Sumeet shot to fame as Mikesh Chaudhary with the web series Permanent Roomates. The actor has also been a part of a lot of films and will be seen in the upcoming Kareena and Sonam starrer Veerey Di Wedding.
We contacted Sumeet who refused and said, “Not yet… it’ll be an honor though.”
The previous season of Indian Idol returned to Indian Television after a gap of four years in 2016. Sonu Nigam was one of the judges of the season who came back to the show after a decade. The other judges included Anu Malik and Farah Khan while the anchors were Karan Wahi and Paritosh Tripathi.
